The Problem
Modern dental education faces too much diluted information and at times, often biased, unbalanced, or representing only one technique, concept or viewpoint.
Most dentists today face:
- Too much information
- Too many techniques
- Too many opinions and often biased
What they lack is:
- The ability to critically analyse information presented and to gain clarity
- The ability to explain why they are doing something, not just how.Â
- They are competent at the procedure but at times don’t understand why, when to apply or how to think when it becomes outside the box.
Why Source Exists
Source Education exists to develop future thinkers by delivering education that is clear, pure, fluid, and uncompromising in depth.
We believe that education should resemble water at its Source.
Clear. Pure, Fluid and Gushing.
Clear in the sense of Clarity. Information is abundant in the age of AI and the internet. But how do we determine what is true, what is not and when/how/why to apply the information? This is where Clarity is the ability to discern what holds true.
Pure and undistorted in the sense of not watering down information. Delivered with depth and clarity, ensuring every concept is fully understood without simplification.
Fluidity means not just retaining knowledge, but understanding when, how, and why to apply it. Knowing when rules can be broken and how to move along the lines. We believe in educating everyone to that level of clarity and understanding.
Gushing in the sense that we like to give A LOT of knowledge. Every sentence is valuable, every slide is meaningful, there is no downtime, no fluff. Come prepared to receive a firehose of information and drink from it!
When knowledge flows downstream, it is often:

Critical Thinking​
We question assumptions. We challenge the status quo. We examine why something works, not just that it works. We use critical thinking to filter through the abundance of information. To understand which pieces of information are relevant and applicable. Knowledge is not power anymore, clarity of information is and the ability to be able to shift through that is critical thinking. Clarity is the end result.

Creativity
We encourage intelligent exploration. We connect ideas across disciplines and encourage problem solving through linking techniques and information. We allow space for thoughtful innovation without abandoning fundamentals.

Clarity
In a world of AI and the internet, saturated with information which is everchanging, we believe the true differentiator is clarity. Knowledge is not power anymore, clarity of information is and the ability to be able to shift through that. But how do we determine what is true, what is not and when/how/why to apply the information? This is where Clarity is the ability to discern what holds true. Clarity is the ability to think critically, reason creatively, and make confident decisions under evolving circumstances. Through combining critical thinking and creativity we are able to achieve clarity. Clarity is achieved when you understand not just how to “do”, but how to “think”. ​

As it flows downstream, it becomes altered by its environment.
Filtered. Polluted. Diluted.
Education works the same way.
Original ideas, when taught by the original thinkers, are rich with context, reasoning, and nuance. But as those ideas are repeated, simplified, and repackaged, much of their substance is lost.
Source Education exists to take clinicians upstream to the Source. Not necessarily to a specific person, but to a way of teaching that preserves the integrity of knowledge. We believe that education should resemble water at its Source.
